About Heather

Heather Ricciuto is a dynamic technology professional, project manager, educator, and dedicated volunteer. A proud Schulich School of Business graduate and certified Project Management Professional, Heather leverages her passion for leadership and learning to empower others. With over 35 years in the technology industry and 20+ years of project management expertise, she actively contributes to her community.

 

Recently retired from IBM, Heather most recently served as Senior Learning Strategist at IBM Consulting Cybersecurity Services, and previously managed IBM Security’s Academic & Talent Outreach Program. As long-time leader of IBM’s Women in Security Excelling (WISE) Business Resource Group and founder of IBM’s CyberDay4Girls program, Heather champions diversity and inclusion in the tech field.

 

Heather’s accomplishments have earned her formal recognition, including the 2021 IBM CEO Volunteer Excellence Award and a spot on IT World Canada’s 2021 Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity in Canada.

 

Believing that continuous learning is key to growth, Heather also serves as a part-time professor Durham College, as well as Director of Professional Development at PMI Durham Highlands.
